June 9, 2010, the Ostróda Castle hosted the ceremonial signing of an agreement between Ostróda County and Kreisgemeinschaft Osterode Ostpreussen. The agreement was signed by: Starosta of Ostróda – Włodzimierz Brodiuk and the Head of Kreisgemeinschaft Osterode Ostpreussen – Dieter Gasser. The event was co-organized by the Chairman of the Union of German Associations in Warmia and Masuria – Henryk Hoch. Among the invited guests was the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Gdańsk – Joachim Bleicker, as well as numerous local government officials. Initialling of the document was followed by a concert of the Castle Chamber Choir under the direction of Mr. Andrzej Kowalski.
